Lyman Gilmore

Lyman Gilmore, 6th grade class of 2021 traveled to Alliance Redwoods in Occidental CA for this years science camp, and it was a blast. We started off the adventure at Salmon Creek beach where many students saw the ocean for the first time ever. At the camp grounds, Alliance Redwoods, students learned about pond life, water sheds, biodiversity, rocks and minerals and other things including leaderships skills and challenge courses. One of the most fun parts of the trip was a challenge course where the students got to climb a 20 foot pole and jump from the top in an attempt to touch a far reaching ball hanging in the air. Over the week short week away from home the students learned a lot, made new friends and awesome memories.
