Teacher Who Makes a Difference

It is a complete honor and privilege to present Linda More as Lyman Gilmore Middle School’s Teacher Who Makes a Difference. Linda More is a “jack of all trades and a master of all!” Everything Linda does is done the right way.  She has worn many hats on the Lyman Gilmore campus. Linda has taught in a self-contained classroom setting (teaching all core subjects), she’s taught math (both grade level and remedial), she’s served as a Title One teacher for grades 5th-8th, and she’s taught the Maker Lab and Culinary Arts electives. Linda’s colleagues said: “she is on the practical side of teaching STEM. She is teaching kids skills like culinary arts that make a difference in their future. She is learning to code in Javascript alongside the students”, “She teaches 2 different electives as well as serving the Title 1 needs for 5th grade. She has served on several committees. She touches the lives of so many kids and does so with kindness and a sense of humor.”, and “Linda cares so much for kids. She always has their best interest at heart. She cares for their immediate future and takes great consideration in them being prepared for the future. Linda More is an incredible educator and a lifelong learner. She’s always looking for ways to hone her craft and bring new teaching styles and ideas to her students.” Linda’s passions are the quirky kids. Those kids that have a hard time making a school connection. Linda creates connections for these kids! Linda is truly a teacher who makes a difference.
