About the Teacher:
I graduated from Chico State University with my BA in Musical Theater. After graduation I focused my studies on Theater Arts and Theater Education. I taught private lessons in the areas of drama, voice and dance to students ranging in ages 3-18. I have been hired to direct and/or choreograph shows for private theater companies and school musical productions and assisted students in learning more about theater and drama and guided them to flourish in their skills and abilities as a performer.
Over the years, being active with students teaching theater I found that it was not just theater that I was drawn to, but actually working with the students. I thoroughly enjoy teaching theater and the arts to students; however, I found that I also had a passion and drive for seeing students excel and grow. I was using theater as a tool to help students learn new things about themselves and their abilities. I decided to expand my educational experience, and develop professionally by returning to school and receiving my teaching credential in English and History.
I love teaching at Lyman Gilmore! I live in Nevada County with my husband Luke and three kids, Taylor, Harper and Owen. We love going to the lake, wakeboarding, camping and spending time with family.
