Code of Conduct

Code of Conduct

A primary component of the PBIS framework is the emphasis of effective behavior management and preventive school discipline as an essential base for supporting teaching and learning.  In order to maximize success for all students, Lyman Gilmore has integrated both of these components within the site’s four school-wide rules, Safe, Respectful, Responsible and Ready to Learn in reference to the classroom, campus, community and in the home.

The Lyman Gilmore Code of Conduct establishes affirmative behaviors and expectations as they pertain to staff-identified at-risk areas and settings in context of the site’s four school-wide rules.  To ensure that all high-risk area expectations are consistently communicated and enforced Teaching Expectation Plans available to staff clearly outline target behaviors for review and reteaching opportunities throughout the year and are continuously demonstrated and addressed in Gilmore New Network reports, Trimester Kick-Off events and instructional videos.
